MEDICAID
The Florida Medicaid public program has been implemented in Palm Beach and Dade counties. The facilities that are currently serviced under this plan are : JFK Medical Center, Cedars Medical Center, Kendall Regional Medical Center, Baptist Hospital of Miami and Palm Springs General Hospital.
The FLACS program is responsible for monitoring and evaluating a comprehensive hospitalist program and providing services to fee-for-service and Medipass recipients in Palm Beach and Dade counties. The goals of the program include:
. Enhance the promptness, consistency and quality of patient care services
. Streamline the administration of patient care services
. Improve the services provided to the Medicaid recipients in the hospital
. Enhance the medical management of patient care and coordination of all clinical services to these patients.
. Improve the quality assurance program for the services provided to Medicaid recipients
. Administer consistent services via clinical best practices
. Promote continuous improvement in the quality of patient care
Through the services of our physicians and coordinators, they will manage hospital inpatient care and observation including hospital discharge planning and case management.
Interpretive services will be available for those individuals that require Spanish speaking services. A customer service survey regarding the inpatient care will be provided to patients along with a brochure explaining the grievance procedures.
